“We are defined by where we have come from and the real experience gathered during our journey.” – Paul Bowling
Paul Bowling’s career in LED started in 2000 in the UK when he was asked to design and build a 24sqm mobile LED display for Rodger Sanderford the creator of Tiny computers. Paul quickly progressed and in 2004 with Big TV he assisted in developing their mobile LED stage and screen combo. Numerous events were successfully carried out throughout Europe including Audi’s 2006 world Cup Fan zone in Germany, whereat Paul helped supply full technical backup.
He was then contacted by Royal Phillips Electronics to plan and install six 44sqm LED screens and structures throughout the UK. At the time this was the largest rollout of Public viewing screens in the UK. He was brought to SA in 2007 by Gearhouse SA where he was head of AV. Paul left Gearhouse to design and build mobile screens from scratch for PLED but ultimately decided in 2010 to go out on his own and started Eyecom.
